organic farm – environmental conservation

Kebun Kaki Bukit (KKB) is an organic orchard, with a vision to be a sustainable demo farm for education on natural farming, aquaponics/vaquaponics and natural construction. We have a wide variety of tropical products for our own consumption and for sale: basil, cinnamon, papaya, coconut, calamansi, lemon, sugarcane, pineapple, passion fruit, etc. We also have chickens, a goat (and soon other animals) to help manage our farm using permaculture principles, effective microorganisms (EM-1), as well as other natural farming techniques.

KKB started off as a dragon fruit and durian farm at the foot of Jugra Hills, now relocated to Kg. Kuantan, Kuala Selangor due to funding issues in late 2013. Located 60km north of Kuala Lumpur, KKB is now found in a traditional Malay village, near a small fishing town. We have come a long way with the help of volunteers from all over the world, and welcome all of you who’re interested in experiencing, learning and exchanging ideas here at KKB!

We welcome any locals who wish to exhibit entrepreneurship related to organic sustainable practices such as creating downstream/by products from our produce/natural jewelry making using natural materials(bamboo/coconut), explore the realm of fermentation for health purposes or even looking into the realm of V/Aquaponics. the management is willing to explore on a JV point.
